Sunny fun at SeaBreeze!

We went to SeaBreeze Park on Tuesday. The trip started out well until we were about 3/4 of the way there. Emily began complaining that her eyes were bloodshot and proceeded to rub and irritate her eyes until they were red and she was crying. I think she had allergies since there was cottonwood fluff flying all through the air, but I managed to put in a few eye drops when we arrived at the park and she seemed better. I figured she would be a little grouchy, but happily I was wrong. When we got inside the park, we headed to the carousel which the girls deemed "too loud" and refused to ride on. In all fairness, the music was pretty loud. So we went over to the kiddie ride section. Chloe, who is usually the one to step right up and try new things, said she was scared of the rides and clung to me. At this point, I'm thinking, "Great, we just paid eighty bucks to get in here, so you'd better ride the rides!!" But then Emily, who is usually one to watch first and then jump into the action says, "I want to ride on the cars!" No amount of cajoling could sway Chloe to try the cars or boats or other kiddie rides which Emily happily rode by herself fo a good half hour. Finally, Chloe decided she'd try a ride and chose of all things, the swings! Once she tried the swings, all bets were off and she had to make up for lost time and ride all the rides Emily had been enjoying all along. We had a great day. Joel took Chloe and Emily on the log flume which they all loved. We also went on the Teacups, Tilt a whirl and Train. Then the girls saw it....the little roller coaster called "Bear trax"...and they begged to go on it. Okay, we went from being afraid of the cars to riding the roller coaster two times in a row!! It was awesome and I was so proud of them for trying new things. At the end of the day, I asked each of them what their favorite thing was. Chloe chose the cars and Emily said the Teacup ride. It was a day we'll all remember fo quite a while!!
